(Table 6) Sr and Nd isotope duplicates of authigenic Fe-Mn phases of ODP Site 177-1090

DOI

Sediment depth is given in mcd. Age model after Channell et al. (2003, datasets: doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.717737). Sr ratios were measured in a static mode and using time resolved analysis (TRA) on a Nu MC-ICPMS and 87Sr/86Sr ratios were corrected for mass-bias using an exponential law and 86Sr/88Sr=0.1194. The long-term average value of the TRA-measured 87Sr/86Sr of NBS 987 is 0.710246 (+/-0.000030, 2 sigma). All reported 143Nd/144Nd ratios were corrected for mass fractionation using 146Nd/144Nd=0.7219. International standard JNdi-1 was analyzed between every 5-6 unknown samples and the average of these standard runs were compared to a long term TIMS JNdi-1 value of 0.512103 to determine a correction factor for each of the samples analyzed on that day. Long term external reproducibility of JNdi-1 analyses on the Nu is 0.000014 (0.3 epsilon-Nd units).
