Swath sonar bathymetry during METEOR cruise M52/1 with links to multibeam raw data files

Multibeam data were collected during R/V Meteor cruise M52/1 leading to easterly Black Sea. Multibeam sonar system was ATLAS Hydrosweep DS-2. Data are unprocessed and may contain outliers and blunders and should not be used for grid calculations and charting projects without further editing. The raw multibeam sonar data are provided in ATLAS SURF format (.sda/.six). 154 files are compressed with GZIP to size of 247 MB (600 MB without compression). One dataset contains a measurement period of four hours. ATLAS SURF files can be processed using the software packages CARIS HIPS/SIPS or with the open source software package MB-System.
