This document introduces an advisory framework for teaching and learning based on the findings from UCL’s Eugenics Legacy Education Project (ELEP). Established in 2022, ELEP focused on meeting the educational recommendations of UCL’s Eugenics Inquiry (UCL, 2020) considering how eugenics histories and legacies could be incorporated into the curriculum. The framework contributes to the wider ongoing discussions about the ways that higher education (HE) contexts work with topics that bring strong emotions into the classroom (Ellison, 2023).
