The data set contains individual answers to two questionnaires aimed at assessing the support to independent living of people with intellectual disabilities living in personalised settings. The questionnaires can be found in the web application https://gasvi.udg.edu. There is a questionnaire addressed to people with intellectual disabilities receiving support and another one addressed to staff providing support. The data set contains the answers of 102 individuals with intellectual disabilities. Staff members provided answers related to 99 of the participants with disabilities. The qüestionmnaire for the person receiving support contains 113 items. These items are organized into 21 indicators. The questionnaire for support staff consists of 144 items organized into 22 indicators. These items refer to the extent to which the institutional approaches of the organizations where they work align with support for community-based independent living and personalized support
Data processing methods: the web application generated .csv files. First step was to transform this data into Excel files. After that, the SPSS package was used to create a dataset with all the anonymized data collected from people with intellectual disabilities and from staff. Staff members answer the items in a scale from 1 to 5 (being 1 the lowest level of support perceived and 5 the highest level) and persons with intellectual disabilities answerd in a scale of 1 to 3 (Being 1 the lowest level of support perceived and 3 the highest level). The use of different scales was due to the preferences of persons with intellectual disabilities that found easier to use a three point scale rather than a 5 point scale. Due to this scale difference, answers had to be transformed into Z scores in order to make comparisons, using the SPSS program. These Z scores are not included in this dataset. The dataset contains the raw data.
