Marine sediments hold an untapped potential for novel taxonomic and bioactive bacterial diversity

Marine sediments may hold high biosynthetic potentials. In this study the biosynthetic potential of marine sediments, with and without cultivation, was evaluated and found to be vastly different and potentially higher than terrestrial sources.
