Thalassiosira pseudonana multi-strain resequencing

Life history strategies (sexual vs asexual reproduction) and mode of dispersal affect the distributions of populations and species. Marine ecosystems suggest that dispersal should be widespread but regionalism persists. The biogeographic range and genetic diversity of seven isolates of the model diatom species Thalassiosira pseudonana were explored through comparative genomic and SNP analyses.
