Iridium oxide compounds have gathered much interest in recent years due to the novel topo- logical phases that they are predicted to host, including topologically insulating and semi- metallic states, which are a consequence of electron-electron correlations and the spin-orbit coupling of the Ir 5d electrons. Previous μSR work on these iridates shows that the internal fields are within the ISIS frequency resolution. This study aims to fully characterise the magnetism in the pyrochlores A2Ir2O7 where A=Sm,Nd and Dy for which single crystals have already been synthesized in Oxford.
