Emerging Creative Ex-Urban Community Typologies

DOI

This dataset presents a conceptual typology of creative ex-urban communities developed within the HL-EXURB project, funded by the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme (Grant No. 101105364). The typology is based on in-depth ethnographic and digital research conducted in Akyaka (Turkey) between 2024 and 2025. It identifies three types of creative ex-urban communities that capture different ways in which creative practitioners engage with local contexts, combine digital and ecological practices, and contribute to emerging forms of collective life in non-urban areas.
