Palaeomagnetic measurements for IODP Site 379-U1533

DOI

Palaeomagnetic measurements of u-channels collected from IODP Site 379-U1533 sediment cores in 2019-2020 at the University of Southampton. U-channels were measured at 1-cm intervals on a 2G Enterprises Model-755R pass-through superconducting rock magnetometer. Principal component analysis (PCA) calculations of inclination, declination and maximum angular deviation completed using UPmag software for the Natural remanent magnetisation (NRM) alternating field demagnetisation peak field range of 20 mT to 60 mT. Measurements cover the Plio-/Pleistocene period, in the aim of refining the shipboard magnetostratigraphic age model. See Hopkins et al.
