The unmanned aerial system LUCA was designed and build to measure atmospheric profiles as radiosondes do. The data presented here contains measurements of atmospheric variables of two test flights carried out in northern Germany. There were co-located radiosoundings for comparison.
The inertial navigation system (INS) used during Panker2_LUCA consited of a GNSS receiver Hex "Here 2" and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) ProfiCNC "Pixhawk Cube Black". As for Panker3_LUCA the INS consisted of GNSS receiver Hex "Here 3" and IMU ProfiCNC "Pixhaws Cube Orange".--The project AEROMET_UAV has been funded by the Modernity Fund (mFUND) of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure under grant 19F2072.
