Measurements of environmental variables in paried trampled and untrabled plots. Three sites in Adventdalen and Endalen (Svalbard) with 10 plot pairs each. Measured in summer 2025. The plot pairs consisted of pristine plots repurposed from the T-REX experiment (https://doi.org/10.17026/DANS-23V-7HCG), and trampled plots along the periphery of these research plots.

Data series contain plot level soil temperature, soil moisture, permafrost thaw depth, snowmelt timing, NDVI, vegetation composition, vegetation height, biomass, CO2 flux, organic layer thickness, elevation and bulk density.

In addition, the dataet contains a script and brainstorm responses from a session on the Longyearbyen Guide Eve for local university students and tourist guides, to harvest perceptions on the issue of tundra trampling.
