Foraminifera radiocarbon ages from sediment core PS2458-4, Laptev Sea, Arctic Ocean

DOI

These data have been obtained from core PS2458-4 (78°10.0'N, 133°23.9'E; 983 m). The core was retrieved in 1993 from the eastern Laptev Sea continental margin. The datasets contain foraminifera radiocarbon ages. Modelled ages were calculated using OxCal4.4 (Ramsey, 2009) with a DR value of 345±60 14C years, as calculated in Nicolas et al. (2024). Marine 14C dates were calibrated with the Marine20 curve (Heaton et al., 2020). Libby half-life (5568 years) was used to calculate 14C age of foraminifera samples.

New data within this study are only from "mixed benthic foraminifera" (Nicolas et al., 2024). The other data (including other dated materials) have already been published by Spielhagen et al., (2005) and can be accessed at: doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.327430.
