We will exploit the unique capability of Nimrod in the study of the crystallisation from the melt of isotactic polypropylene. We focus on two perdeuterated polypropylenes with precisely controlled levels of stereoregularity and use the new high temperature capability on NIMROD which we have previously shown to suitable for this study. We will use the extended Q range available with Nimrod to obtain neutron scattering data which follows the solid state transformation from the unordered melt to the lamellar crystalline phase to identify the interrelationship between the three scales of structure involved in crystallisation, namely the chain conformation (0.1nm), the crystal planes in the unit cell (1nm) and the lamellar crystals (10nm).
