We performed X-ray fluorescence (XRF) core scanning on archive halves of cores from ODP Site 145-884 using an Avaatech core scanner at the Gulf Coast Repository. We report XRF counts for Al, Ar, Ca, Fe, K, Mn, S, Si, and Ti from the 10 kV scan (no filter) and counts for Ba from the 50 kV scan (Cu filter). Measurements with Ar counts greater than 0 were removed due to significant interference from air. After calibration to sample measurements, we estimate the fraction of sediment comprised of calcium carbonate (using Ca/Ti from XRF), biogenic silica (using Ti/Si from XRF), and detrital material (the remaining material) at each scanning point. The sum of these three fractions was assumed to be 100% of the sediment. Mass accumulation rates for each component were calculated using GRAPE density measurements from Rea et al. (1993) and age model-derived sedimentation rates from Nirenberg et al. (2025).
