SuCCESs Integrated Assessment Model (version 2024-10-23-LandMitPot)

DOI

SuCCESs is a lightweight, global integrated assessment model (IAM) that covers energy, land-use, materials and climate. It's an intertemporal partial equilibrium model that finds the minimum cost solution to satisfy projected demands for energy, transportation, materials and food, while also satisfying other constraints, like climate targets. The model runs from 2020 to 2100 in 10-year time steps. This study modified the SuCCESs model slightly for assessing the global land's climate mitigation potential in a large scenario exploration exercise with over 800 six-dimensional demand-varying scenarios. Please refer to the article's supplements for more information of the modifications.
