Age determination of sediment core RC10-196

DOI

Note that in the NW Pacific, Sarnthein et al. (2007) have no reliable estimate of reservoir age correction at 14270 14C age. They estimate that the reservoir correction is reduced to 300 yr during H1. Using a reservoir correction of 300 y instead of 450 y at 41.5cm results in a calendar age of 16,600 yr and reduces the sedimentation rate to 4.1 cm/ky.
