Comparative transcriptomic analysis of intestinal respiration in fish

Intestinal air-breathing is a specifically assistant respiration in very few fish. In the present study, we conducted a comparative transcriptomic analysis using two closely loach species, mud loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) and elongate loach (Leptobotia elongata) belong to family Cobitidae, to understand the molecular mechanism in intestinal respiration.
