Italian Present-day Stress Indicators from IPSI 1.4 database

DOI

The Italian Present-day Stress Indicators, IPSI database, is a georeferenced repository of information on horizontal stress orientations, analysed and compiled in a standardized format and quality-ranked. It can be consulted and downloaded at INGV website (http://doi.org/10.13127/IPSI.1.4). The dataset contains a total of 928 records relative to borehole breakout, earthquake focal mechanism, formal inversion of earthquake, fault slip and overcoring data. Full dataset of IPSI (version 1.4) is presented as five files, one for each stress indicator group and a reference/description file. Each file contains fields common to all data (e.g. identification code or latitude/longitude or computed minimum and maximum horizontal stress orientation) and fields specific for each single indicator (e.g. breakout deepest depth or earthquake date or azimuth/dip of the principal stress axis or fault name).
