In this proposal we would like to investigate the Jahn-Teller activity and its role on the global magnetic ordering and crystal structure of Fe and Ti co-doped ferrimagnetic spinel MnCo2O4 using the powder neutron diffraction technique. Our initial magnetic measurements reveal enhanced Curie temperature (TC =184K→365K) and spontaneous magnetization (δm = 24.5 emu/mol at 5K) in these systems containing 40 % Ti at octahedral B sites and Fe at tetrahedral A sites. Therefore, a detailed neutron diffraction studies are important for a deeper understanding of such enhanced magnetic ordering, crystal structure, and electronic properties of two different compositions of inverted-spinels Mn0.8Ti0.2(Co1.6Fe0.4)O4 and Mn0.6Ti0.4(Co1.2Fe0.8)O4.
