This data set contains daily files of vertically integrated water vapour (IWV, also known as precipitable water (prw)) derived from combined measurements of the low- and high-frequency microwave radiometers HATPRO (Humidity And Temperature PROfiler, Rose et al., 2005) and MiRAC-P (Microwave Radar/Radiometer for Arctic Clouds - Passive, Mech et al., 2019) on Polarstern cruise PS144 (Rabe & Geibert, 2025). The data set covers the date range from 12 August to 7 October 2024. The IWV retrieval is based on a Neural Network whose configuration and training is described in Walbröl et al. (2024).
Each netCDF file contains integrated water vapour estimates derived from HATPRO and MiRAC-P operated onboard Polarstern during cruise PS144. Each file further contains meta data about the position (latitude, longitude, height above mean sea level), and the quality of the derived integrated water vapour.
