A large-scale, high-resolution flume experiments were conducted under a representative bidirectional currents in a large recirculating flume to investigate the time-averaged flow and turbulence properties over two-dimensional fixed tidal dunes. Four experimental datasets are provided for the two dune morphologies (DUNE1 and DUNE2) and bidirectional currents (F1 and F2) that were considered in this study. The experimental data contains the mean streamwise velocity, mean vertical velocity, intermittency factor, turbulent kinetic energy and Reynolds stress. Percentages of observations for the four significant quadrant events are also provided to characterise the large-scale turbulent events. These data will provide a detailed descriptions of the flow and turbulence structures above a representative low-angle tidal dunes under an idealised tidal flows.
