Characterization of iron-pectin beads as a novel system for iron delivery to intestinal cells.

DOI

This dataset concerns the physiochemical characterization of iron-pectin beads, as a novel system for iron delivery to intestinal cells. The study covers the behavior of the beads at the different pH of the gastrointestinal tract and their ability to release bioavailable iron in the intestine for its absorption.
