Structures of the superconducting metal/ammonia intercalates of FeSe

DOI

We will use POLARIS to determine the structures of the high temperature superconducting intercalates obtained by the reactions between FeSe and deuterated ammonia solutions containing Li, Na & K. Neutrons are essential for enabling the location of the light atoms (D, Li, N and Na) and the high Q data available on POLARIS will enable us to perform PDF analysis on the Li/ND3 intercalate in order to characterise the disorder inherent in the intercalate layer by analysis of the local structure.
