Temperature dependence of the non-ergodicity factor of vitreous GeO2

We propose to measure the temperature dependence of the non-ergodicity factor in vitreous germanium oxide, v-GeO2, through the X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy (XPCS). We aim to compare the slow dynamics probed here with the fast dynamics determined by IXS in the same Q range. This comprehensive investigation will provide a view of the spectrum of relaxation processes in GeO2 in a wide time window between ps and seconds, enabling us to verify the presence of secondary relaxation processes.
