MuSR Investigation of Quantum Critical Point in Hole-Doped Pyrochlore Iridates, (Y1-x-yCuyCax)2Ir2O7

DOI

Y227 is an ideal system to investigate Ir moments, mainly to study the presence of QCP, because the Y atom does not have a local magnetic moment. From the results of our resistivity measurement, the Metal-Insulator transition (MIT) seems to disappear around x = 0.20 at low temperatures below about 50 K. Thus, we suppose that QCP exists around x~0.20 in (Y0.95-xCaxCu0.05)2Ir2O7. We expect to discuss from this proposed study to achieve intrinsic information how the Ir moment is changing when the system changes to be metallic in order to confirm our current results and clarify phase diagram, especially the position of QCP.
