Linking exometabolome and transcriptome patterns of Phaeobacter inhibens, we carried out growth experiments, one with the type strain P. inhibens DSM 17395, carrying all three plasmids and one with a mutant which lacked the pPGA1_65 plasmid. Cultures were grown in artificial seawater medium with the addition of glucose or glutamate as single carbon source at 28° C.
