Exploring genomic regions regulating the liver transcriptome and energy homeostasis in pigs

DOI

The analysis of the transcriptome can enhance the understanding of the link between genetic variants and phenotypes of interest. In this study, eQTL mapping, ASE analysis and aseQTL mapping allowed the identification of regulatory mechanisms of the hepatic transcriptome in a commercial population of 310 Duroc pigs. Integration with previously generated QTL data for fatty acid composition traits allowed the identification of putative molecular mechanisms and shared causal variants. This repository contains Supplementary Table S4 (aseQTLs identified in this study) and Supplementary Table S5 (All SNPs reported in the results of colocalization analysis between eQTL and QTL regions).
