Full edition for scientific use. The survey, which was specially designed for the University of Klagenfurt, had two main objectives:
1. to survey the handling of research data by researchers and doctoral students at the University of Klagenfurt (types of use and independent production of research data), i.e. personal research data management (RDM) and
2. the development of RDM support structures at the University of Klagenfurt on the basis of this needs analysis (e.g. with the participation of the University of Klagenfurt in national repositories such as AUSSDA and the evaluation of an in-house research data repository).
With this survey, the University of Klagenfurt also implemented part of the ‘Open Science & Data Management’ plan in line with the university's overall development plan (GUEP 2025-30, system objective 5, p. 35). The results of the survey should form the basis for the development and implementation of the University of Klagenfurt's open science policy, which should also contain a binding research data governance guideline.
