Quantum critical scaling in a bondalternating Heisenberg spin-1 chain

We propose to study spin dynamics of one-dimensional spin-1 chain system (NTENP) precisely at quantum phase transition point in the phase space. We propose to measure dynamic structure factor as a function of temperature at wavevector (1,0,0) from 0.1 to 1 meV energy transfer. The measurement will be done while applying strong magnetic field to drive the system to quantum critical point separating gapped and Luttinger liquid phase.
