Purr-ceiving feelings: domestic cats respond to intraspecific cues of emotion

This dataset contains the raw and processed datafiles and computer code relevant to the paper. All the data are in English. The ethics approvals, information letter and consent forms, and preregistration are also provided.

The present study investigated how cats (N=24) responded to unimodal emotion expressions of conspecifics in the visual and auditory domain. Adopting a multidimensional approach, we explored how cats attended and responded to differently valenced stimuli, adding stimulus activity levels as a proxy for arousal. The data for visual and auditory stimuli are available in two separate files
