During our recent experiment (RB1310434) we were able to use ALC to characterise the radical states formed in [Fe2(µ-pdt)(CO)4(PMe3)2] and [Fe2(µ-pdt)(CO)4(CN)2]2- at two temperatures. The ALC spectra of [Fe2(µ-pdt)(CO)4(PMe3)2] displays a feature, the broadness and position shows temperature dependence. The broadness of this feature is consistent with the multiple binding sites predicted by the DFT calculations with couplings in the range ~200-300MHz. We propose investigating the evolution of the ALC lineshape as a function of temperature. The ALC spectra of [Fe2(µ-pdt)(CO)4(CN)2]2- shows a triplet of features between ca.12,000G and ca.16,000G, the positions of which are also temperature dependant. We would like to study these resonances as a function of temperature using high statistics.
