Données de réplication pour : Bean crop residues (stubble) for feeding sheep during dry season shortage in Cuba

DOI

The feasibility of feeding sheep with bean stubble produced during the dry season of Cuba was evaluated under real-farm conditions in Moron (Ciego de Avila, Cuba). The dataset present the choice of farms the municipality, the crop residue yields per farm, the results from an experimentation with animals evaluating the voluntary bean stubble intake (supplemented with sugarcane molasses), the results from an animal behaviour trial in the scope of that experimentation, as well as the carcass yield and composition at the end of the experiment. Finally, an assessment is presented with regard the potential meat sheep production to be expected if sheep flocks are fed with such high volumes of crop residues produced in the region, after bean harvest every year.
