Time series data of physical oceanography (seawater conductivity, temperature, pressure, salinity) and ocean current velocities were obtained from mooring AWI253-3 in Filchner Trough (76° 02.74' S, 31° 01.42' W, water depth 471 m) in February 2018 - March 2021. The mooring was deployed during Polarstern expedition PS111, and recovered during PS124. The attached archive contains raw data files of two Seabird SBE37 microcats (nominal depths: 28 mab (meters above bottom), 117 mab; sampling interval 30 min), three SBR56 (48, 68 and 88 mab; sampling interval: 5 min) and two Nortek Aquadopp current meters (depths: 18 mab, 118 mab; sampling interval: 120 min). Auxiliary information such as sensor calibration sheets, mooring diagrams and schedule files are also provided, if applicable.

The file AWI253-3.zip includes all available sensor raw data and the drawings from mooring AWI253-3. The structure of the unzipped folders is mooring->sensor/sampler type->serial number->instrument files. All instruments were synched to UTC before deployment, and the offset after the recovery is supplied in the respective instrument folder, if available. The archive also contains the sensor calibration sheets/files and relevant sampler schedule files, if available. Finally, mooring schematics are also attached as pdfs in the root folder. The file Moorings_PS111-PS124.xlsx includes the metadata of all moorings that were deployed during PS111 and recovered during PS124.The authors are grateful to the captains, crews and technical/scientific staff of the expeditions PS111 and PS124 onboard RV Polarstern.
