Long-read nanopore assembled genomes of clinically relevant Talaromyces species

DOI

Talaromyces marneffei is the major cause of HIV-associated talaromycosis, however, several clinically relevant sibling species produce the otherwise characteristically red pigment too. To support the increasing use of molecular tools in clinical diagnostics we here provide the high-quality nanopore-based genome sequences of these Talaromyces species.
