Stake height change measurements at 79°N Glacier in 2017

DOI

Surface ablation/accumulation was measured at 11 locations at the 79°N Glacier (Nioghalvfjerdsbraeen Glacier) in northeast Greenland in 2017 (see link in "Further details"). Ablation/Accumulation are measured changes in height above ground level of bamboo poles installed in early July 2017 and changes were measured in late July 2017.

Data were measured by Daniel Steinhage (AWI), Mirko Scheinert (TU Dresden), Niklas Neckel (AWI) and Ole Zeising (AWI).This dataset has been planned by Angelika Humbert (AWI) as part of the iGRIFF expeditions and as contribution to GROCE. If you have questions, please contact Ole Zeising (ole.zeising@awi.de).--A negative change in height means ablation, a positive accumulation.
