Transcriptomic responses of Heterosigma akashiwo to salinity variations

This study deciphers the molecular basis of low-salinity adaptation in the raphidophyte Heterosigma akashiwo. We identified a biphasic strategy, transitioning from rapid stress defense to long-term metabolic reprogramming, which ensures both short-term survival and sustained growth under hypoosmotic conditions.
