EEG data of 239 participants during passive viewing of IAPS images in clearly distinct valence categories (positive, neutral, negative) with MatLab scripts

The dataset contains EEG data (raw and preprocessed) of 239 participants that passively viewed 150 IAPS images in three clearly distinct valence categories (positive, neutral, and negative) based on normative valence ratings. Participants provided subjective ratings for each image. MatLab analysis scripts are included.

EEG was collected from 239 participants who passively viewed 150 IAPS images in 3 distinct valence categories (positive, neutral, negative). In the aggregated ERP data, an affective salience effect (pos/neg > neu) can be observed in the LPP latency range (500-1300 ms) followed by a valence effect (neg > pos) in a late latency range (1500-2500ms). Raw and preprocessed EEG data are included, as are all MatLab scripts for the analyses.
