A transcriptome was produced for SNP discovery from a series of animals subjected to a range of different thermal regimes, with the aim of maximising expression of those transcripts involved in thermal sensitivity and/or tolerance. Three regimes were applied: heated at 15?C for 1 hour, 4?C for 2 days and then the 4?C animals were further warmed at 1?c per day up to a final temperature of 7?C.
