This dataset consists of two complementary systematic literature review files and an occurrence analysis developed within the HL-EXURB project. Together, these files provide a structured and analytical overview of research on cultural impact assessment (CI-Assessment) in rural and non-urban contexts.
The two literature review files present a systematic mapping of academic publications, including bibliographic information, thematic categorisation, methodological approaches, and analytical summaries. The occurrence analysis, derived from the reviewed literature, identifies patterns of thematic co-occurrence and supports the mapping of the conceptual structure of CI-Assessment in rural studies.
The dataset was developed following the PRISMA protocol and is based on a structured selection of peer-reviewed publications identified through database searches. It focuses specifically on studies addressing cultural impact assessment in rural and non-urban contexts, with particular attention to creative newcomers, migrants, and ex-urbanites.
This dataset provides the empirical and analytical basis for identifying key dimensions of cultural impact assessment—socio-spatial, socio-ecological, and social—and supports the development of the Cultural Impact Assessment framework within the HL-EXURB project.
