This dataset contains concentrations of major elements (aluminium, phosphorus, calcium, manganese, iron) and rare earth elements (yttrium, lanthanum through lutetium) determined in iron–manganese oxyhydroxide leachates from bulk sediments at Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Site 162-982 on the Rockall Plateau, North Atlantic. The data cover the same sample set as the authigenic neodymium isotope record, spanning approximately the past 230 ka. Leaching followed a hydroxylamine hydrochloride protocol targeting the authigenic coating. Analyses were carried out on a Thermo Fisher Scientific iCAP Q inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) at the Institute of Environmental Physics, Heidelberg University. The elemental data serve to assess leaching selectivity through aluminium-to-neodymium ratios and to characterize rare earth element patterns that complement the authigenic εNd reconstruction.
