Data from individual cruises are given a unique identifying number (id), an integer, that is included in the data file names. Filenames are cruise_id_metadata.csv and cruise_id_observations.csv. The metadata includes the ship name, captain, chief scientist, principle observer, dates of the cruise and information about the purpose of the cruise. Observation data is provided in CSV format, with standard column headers and order documented in the file ASSISTv4Cheatsheets.pdf.Please note, that in these original files snow and ice thickness are given in cm.
