Understanding the interplay between structural chirality and molecular magnetism

DOI

A novel family of chiral SMM molecules will be investigated here at the level of a monolayer deposit assembled on Au (111) via thermal sublimation in order to evaluate if, in agreement with the reports on bulk, the magnetization dynamics is strongly influenced by the specific arrangement of the molecules in the lattice. The demonstration that a chiral SMM can be assembled on surface will open additional perspectives for the development of multifunctional hybrid devices for spintronics and quantum computing.
