The site is situated south of Obergurgl (Ötztal Alps, Austria) above the Zirbenwald. The local field name of the site is "Bruggboden" It contains selected group of arolla pine trees (Pinus cembra). The data set encompasses a range of techniques and tools, including Mobile Laser Scanning (MLS) using GeoSLAM and IPhone Lidar, Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) with Trimble and Riegl VZ2000-i, Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) by RICOPTER RIEGL VUX-1LR, ALS 2020, and ICESat-2, as well as photogrammetric reconstructions using IPhone Video and Sony Alpha cameras. Additionally, ground truth data is collected using Total Station Leica, GNSS PPK, mobile phone GNSS, and caliper measurements. This data set has been acquired at the 4th edition of the Sensing Mountains 2022 - Innsbruck Summer School of Alpine Research – Close-range Sensing Techniques in Alpine Terrain.
