The NPI Fram Strait cruise 2024 was carried out in August 2024. There was not a lot of the ice during the transit across the Fram Strait. Therefore, the possibility for ice stations only occurred around the land fast ice near the east-coast of Greenland. The geometry, morphology and physical properties of two ridges were studied through two ice stations. At the first station, there were two positions for the cross-section (1.1 and 1.2). In location 1.1, the morphology of one hole was studied. Due to the limitation of extensions for a 5 cm (2-inch) Kovacs mechanical drill and time, we moved to the second position with thinner ice. At location 1.2, the temperature-salinity (TS) and thin section – salinity (TTS) cores were taken. On the second station, two parallel transects were done at a distance of 4.5m between each other. The TS and TTS cores were taken on position 2.1 and TS core on position 2.2.
