TeVO4 is one of the compounds in which magnetic moments form a frustrated zigzag spin-1/2 chain, due to competing nearest-neighbour and second-nearest neighbour interactions. It has been predicted theoretically that such a system could undergo a transition into a spin-nematic phase, and TeVO4 is particularly interesting because the magnetic phase transitions in it occur at lower applied fields than for other systems of the same type. An initial experiment using HFM/EXED has been performed on TeVO4 to follow the evolution of the magnetic structure propagation vector as a function of magnetic field. Now we propose to take advantage of the new capabilities of HFM/EXED to observe the evolution of the magnetic peak intensity as well, and determine if the magnetic form factor contains a quadrupolar contribution which would imply the existence of a nematic phase.
