Using muon spin relaxation and ALC resonance spectroscopy, the electron spin relaxation and mobility of the polymer P3OT will be determined. P3OT differs in structure to P3HT (already measured) by having two more CH2 groups on the side chain. It has already been shown that the mass of the central spin atom changes the ALC resonance amplitude and position. In this experiment, the objectives are to determine the electron spin relaxation and mobility of P3OT. Also to compare the ALC resonances with those of P3HT, to determine whether the additional mass on the side chain affects the ALC amplitude and position. Two different morphologies (as-purchased and recrystallined) of P3OT will be studied, to see if the quenching of the ALC resonance occurs, as observed in P3HT and if it does to compare the crossover termpature with P3HT.
