Microplankton abundance in the euphotic zone of the Aegean, Levantine and Ionian Seas in March-April 1992

Microplankton species composition analysis was performed according to the inverted microscope method of Utermoehl. Samples for identification and enumeration of larger phytoplankton cells (>5µm) were preserved in alkaline Lugol solution. Utermoehl, H., 1958.
