This study aimed to characterize the transcriptomic profiles of adult male &amp female geoduck gonads. Gonadal development stage and gender identification was performed microscopically on fixed gonad tissue, stained with hematoxylin and eosin.</p><p>RNA was extracted from fixed gonad tissue (embedded in paraffiin) using the PAXgene Tissue RNA Kit (Qiagen). Total RNA from six males and six females were pooled by gender and sequenced.
