The Iberian cryoEM community BAG (IV)

DOI

The Iberian Cryo-EM BAG is a consortium of ~40 research groups from Spain and Portugal addressing fundamental biological questions through high-resolution structural studies. Research topics include membrane proteins, disease-related metabolic enzymes, antibiotic resistance, DNA replication and repair, protein synthesis, viral structure and replication, and large macromolecular complexes involved in essential processes such as protein folding and degradation. For these groups, cryo-electron microscopy is an indispensable tool, and often the only method capable of resolving the complexity of their systems. Access to the ESRF’s cutting-edge cryo-EM facilities is therefore crucial to drive discovery, support ongoing projects, and maintain the international impact and competitiveness of structural biology research throughout the Iberian Peninsula.
