The unmanned aerial system LUCA was designed and build to measure atmospheric profiles as radiosondes do. Two test flights were carried out in northern Germany. The data presented here contain measurements of co-located radiosoundings for comparison with LUCA.
The start altitude of the soundings was approximatly equal for all soundings. However, due to different configurations of the sounding unit the Panker2 profiles were set to 24m start altitude, while Panker3 was set to 36m.--The project AEROMET_UAV has been funded by the Modernity Fund (mFUND) of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure under grant 19F2072.
